Thank you. Like, a lot. A LOT.

When I post missions here on the SAL website, I don’t expect people to leave a ton of comments. In fact, most posts rarely get more than two or three comments.  And that’s totally okay! I can’t tell you how many blogs I simply adore and visit regularly, yet never leave comments on. It doesn’t mean I love those blogs any less.

But yesterday, I noticed that I started getting a lot of comments on a particular post.  I was intrigued.  And the comments just. kept. coming.  I soon learned that I’d been bombed.

Yes, bombed.

My sweet friend Lauren Lankford, who runs Love Bomb, chose me {yes, little ol’ me!} to be the recipient of this incredible act of love.  She and her boyfriend Max came to Pittsburgh on Tuesday and stayed with me until yesterday morning as part of Max’s Mad Across America tour. I shared with them a little bit of the struggles I’ve been going through lately, which, apparently, moved Lauren (and her Love Bomb followers) to shower me with kindness and love in a way I’ve never experienced.

I want to take this moment to tell you all–every single one of you who left a comment of love, support, and prayers for me–that your act of kindness could not have come at a better time.

I will admit: I get exhausted sometimes. This project, while one of the greatest blessings and opportunities of my life, can be pretty overwhelming. And sometimes I forget to take care of myself, because all I really want is to take care of others. I just want to give and love and give and love.  But I have to remember that I’m not invincible, that I do need rest, and that it’s okay to be kind to myself, too!  Thank you all for reminding me of that and for validating me in that.

YOU have made a tremendous difference in my life in the past 24 hours.  Thank you, and I love you.
