MISSION: Cancer Caring

I will forever be in awe of people living with and managing cancer. I have no words.

I’m so thankful for people like Affiliated Agent D of Buffalo, New York. After being busy doing FAKs (Friends & Family Acts of Kindness, she calls them), she continued to extend her heart to strangers who face cancer each day. Affiliated Agent D clearly has a huge heart!

I finally performed my 2nd “official” RAK. I haven’t totally been slacking off. I’ve been busy doing FAKs (Friends & Family Acts of Kindness) sometimes our friends & family need acts of kindness too…

• a treat for friend who’s stressed mother of the bride (scented candle, bottle of bubbles, favorite teabag & chocolate biscotti) 
• migraine care package for daughter (reusable cold pack, chocolate, one time cold packs, cocoa) 
• RAK flower printed off internet w/ lollipops distributed @ work to co-workers putting together difficult bid 
• wedding “survival” bag for niece in several weddings (sewing kit, clear nailpolish, shout wipes, 1st aid kit, aspirin, antacid, bobby pins, double sided tape, myraid of other items) 
•  treats for the nurses at nursing home where my mom is (she has dementia & recently had stroke)

Anyway, I’m sending you photos of my 2nd mission.

I went to Roswell Cancer Institute – one of the nation’s premier cancer treatment institutes. I figured anyone going there for treatment could use a pick me up or if they worked there – they deserved a treat too.

My yellow bag had:

• jelly beans (who doesn’t like jelly beans?)
• bubbles (everyone is happier blowing bubbles)
• hand sanitizer
• lemon tea bag
• crackers & cheese

I had to try several times to find cars without getting caught to leave the bags. I finally left the bags.  Will do another one soon; it won’t be so long until my next one. Thank you for letting me be part of this wonderful experience.
