A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of speaking about the Secret Agent L Project to a group of colleagues at the university where I work. I’m always so overjoyed to share the message of kindness, and to be able to do so with colleagues that I often speak with over the phone and email, but never actually get to see, was a real treat. I was so happy to finally “meet” in real life many of the names and voices I’ve been encountering over the years that I’ve been there.
One colleague was so inspired by the message of the Secret Agent L Project that she went out immediately afterward and performed her very first mission!

Affiliated Agent R
bench, ground floor
I just performed my first mission. I know that it will be the first of many to come.
At Christmas, I received a Starbucks gift card from a vendor. It has been in my desk waiting to be used for a greater good. After being touched by Laura’s inspiring story and mission of Secret Agent L, I knew that the Starbucks card was ready to touch someone’s life and for me to be the vessel to do it. After writing a message on a bunny rabbit note paper, I placed the note, gift card and Secret Agent L business card into an envelope. I placed the envelope on a bench located in the lobby on the ground floor outside of the Cashier’s Office and the Financial Aid Office of the Administration Building at Duquesne University on March 14 at 2:15 p.m. Both staff and students pass through this lobby. It is generally not a high traffic area. I walked through the lobby at 2:45 and the card was still on the bench. At 4:00, it was gone. I’m excited in hoping that my first mission may bring a smile and happiness to someone with finding the card.
