MISSION: Winter is Coming!
If I didn’t love Pittsburgh and its people so much, I’d totally move to a warmer climate. I do not–at all–do well in cold weather. In fact, if it’s not at least 70 degrees out, I’m all, “Where’s my parka?!” I know, I know. I’m an odd duck.
Luckily, Affiliated Agent B’s getting ready for the cold weather by spreading her kindness kits, complete with things to warm us up inside and out! What a creative and thoughtful idea!

As you know I am always doing the “multiple” missions where I make more than one and set out to distribute accordingly.
I found these coordinating bags and lotions at Target and selected 2 of each of two color schemes and then picked up two pairs of convertible mittens and two pairs of fingerless gloves. To add a little something for “inner warmth” I added to each gift a package of Starbuck’s Hot Cocoa with salted caramel.

I placed the first one on the shopping cart rack at the local grocery store; the second one I placed at a bus stop next to my office; the third I placed inside the lobby of my parents’ retirement apartment (where my dad found it an hour later and brought it up to my mother — while I was there!). The final one I placed on an outdoor cart of cyclamen at the local nursery (one of my favorite drop spots).
I love making and having these in my car to drop off whenever the notion hits — hoping that it might make just that much difference for someone having a hard day — or spur someone else on to take up the baton and become a secret agent too!!
Affiliated Agent B, I LOVE that your dad found one of your missions! Did you confess to your parents that you were behind it? Or did you “play dumb” and just enjoy it? I absolutely love this mission, your creativity, and, ultimately, the extreme kindness that you continue to show on a regular basis. You rock!

LOVE this! We’re in sunny Florida, but when it gets chillier here, I’m going to borrow this idea!
